30 kms from Lourdes, 80 kms from Pau, and 2 hours from Toulouse and Biarritz, the traditional French mountain village of Luz-St-Sauveur is on the doorstep of the Mont Perdu World Heritage Area and the Pyrenees National Park. Situated half way between Lourdes and Gavarnie, Luz St Sauveur is on the path to Santiago de Compostella through Gavarnie and St Savin.

Hotel Les Templiers provides a comfortable mix between tradition and modern amenities. The front rooms have a view directly onto the fortified St André Church locally called “Eglise des Templiers”, and the mountains behind. The back rooms have views over the town and the mountains, and from the rooms in the middle you look out onto a quiet lane, and if you lean out the window you can see the castle on one side and the church on the other. All rooms have bathrooms with a shower, washbasin and toilet. To maintain the calm atmosphere of the hotel there are Luz Churchno televisions in any of the rooms. There is a TV in the lounge. All rooms are non-smoking, as are the public areas.

The hotel has an organic bar and café in the same space where breakfast is served. It is open to the public for breakfast, morning coffee, morning tea each day, and then again from 4-9pm each afternoon/evening for afternoon tea / pre-dinner drinks. We serve a range of organic beer and organic and natural wines, including the local organic beer (“Le Vignemale” from the Brasserie du Pays Toy) on tap.

There are numerous restaurants close by for lunch or dinner each evening. To name a few: Chez Christine, Pizz’Ariane, Le BasqueToy, Chez Coulet, L’Atelier, La Tasca, La Terrace, Le Txoko, and there are more. For groups of 8 or more we are able to organise a three course set menu meal in the hotel for 23€pp.

Prices: 55-65€ single, 79-89€ double room, 10.50€ organic buffet breakfast (with boiled eggs, sheeps cheese, homemade yoghurt, juices, fresh fruit, cereals, locally baked bread, and even organic croissants). Check the reservation system for availability or email us directly.
