You are right! We'll try to make sure we do this at the start of each post. We're getting there with the website but the blog is proving tricky at the moment!

This blog post was actually from May 28 2010, but we have just heard that the Toumalet was opened early this year so it is now already open for 2011, as of about the 8th May I think. We are on holidays in Australia so the hotel is not open, but it is great for everyone. If you are wanting a room in Luz we'd suggest our neighbours the Hotel des Cimes, or our friends at the Panoramic in St Sauveur. Enjoy your trip. Sian.

It would be a good idea to please put a date in the report as we have no idea whether this is a live message or dated?
Thanks

All paths open and walkable in the middle mountain at the end of June, start of July. Only up high (above 2500m) are you likely to run into some remnant snow. Its a beautiful time of year because all the flowers are out and the pastures beautiful and green. Still snow capped mountains tops it off (literally!). Up until the 10th July you are just before high season so another good reason to come at that time of year.
