Welcome to Blue Cairn Lodge in the sunny Val d’Azun !

Blue Cairn Lodge is a spacious gite offering privacy, tranquillity, charm and an amazing view out of every window. Enjoy your breakfast outside in the morning sun! Spend your days ‘off’ resting and relaxing in the garden or wander around Argeles market, visit Lourdes, go for fabulous walks just out the back door or choose an activity you’ve always wanted to do ; canyoning, rafting, caving, horse-riding, paragliding or via-ferrata. For five days of your week Mandy or Sacha will guide your group on relaxed paced walks all around the valley, with one overnight stay in a refuge so you can experience the ‘high life’ for yourself.

Monday : Today we head higher to the multi-coloured lakes of the Neouvielle Nature Reserve, perhaps La Glere or Ets Coubous. The Néouvielle Nature Reserve is the ‘Lake District’ of the Pyrenees – a granite base means the water doesn’t drain away as it does through limestone – perfect for a swim on a summer’s day.

Tuesday : Market day in Argeles! We enjoy walking around the market in the morning followed by a relaxing afternoon. marché-dargeles-gazostEvening walk from the lodge to the BBQ dinner destination in our ‘summer camp’ above the village. Drinks and dinner around the fire admiring the setting sun on the mountains. Gentle walk back down.
