Itinerary

Day One: Meet in Geneva and transfer to Diablerets.

Day Two: Short transfer to the Col du Pillon in a taxi, and then we use the ski lifts to gain easy height. From 3000m we head up to the Diablerets summit at 3210m for a short warm up and a nice view. We have an easy descent to the Prarochet Refuge at 2550m.

Day Three: We gently traverse and descend towards the Col du Sanetsch (2242m) before climbing the Arpelistock (3035m). From here we have a lovely descent to the Gelten Refuge (2002m).

Day Four: An early state today for our key stage, the ascension of the Wildhorn (3247m) via the Col du Brochet. Our descent over the Wildhorn glacier brings us, unsurprisingly, to the Wildhorn Refuge (2304m)!

Day Five: Another day and another summit. The Schnidehorn (2937m) awaits us today. From its summit we descend into a wild valley, the Plan des Roses (2386m), from where we climb up to the Wildstrubel Refuge at 2791m.

ArpelistockDay Six: A short climb brings us onto the Plaine Morte glacier. As its name indicates, it is long and flat! We first need to cross it before climbing the steep slopes that lead to the summit of the Wildstrubel (3243m). We then descend to the Refuge Lammeren (2501m).

Day Seven: If conditions allow we will head off towards the Grossstrubel (3243m) for a fabulous finalé with 2000m of descent on its north face. Other options are possible should this not be. From Lenk we return on the train to Diablerets.
