Discover our self-guided trekking in the Pyrenees
Our self-guided treks give you the freedom to discover the Pyrenees at your own pace, and with an option that will suit your walking capacity. In general the stages set out in walking guides for the GR10 or similar long distance trails are very long. Too long for most people who are weekend walkers, or no longer 25-35 years old! Of course we have clients who are extremely fit, and there are plenty of options for them. The Pyrenees can be as challenging as you would like. But many people would like to enjoy the mountains without suffering through walks that are too long with too much height gain/loss. We offer a flexible and personalised experience for all levels of walker, providing good initial advice when choosing the right trek for you, and then detailed maps, GPS tracks and recommendations for an unforgettable experience once you arrive with us.
- Choosing the right trek for you before you set foot in the Pyrenees is the key to an enjoyable holiday. We do everything we can before you sign up to make sure this is the case.
- Full briefing and check of weather, maps, GPS tracking app before you set out on your trek.
- General and emergency assistance during your trek

Choose from six treks, each with its own style !

Valleys & Villages of the Lavedan
The province of the Lavedan encompasses the valleys to the south of Lourdes where the rivers are called "gaves", and the people are described as rustic! It stretches south to the Spanish border high above Cauterets and Gavarnie, east to the Col du Tourmalet and west to the Col du Soulor, both staples of the Tour de France. This hotel to hotel trek, with bag transfers, allows you to take in the extraordinary variety of scenery within these boundaries, provides comfortable accommodation, good food and walks with day packs only. A formula that is almost impossible to beat !

Gavarnie Balconies Trek
Immerse yourself in the wonder of the Gavarnie Cirque, nature’s great cathedral as Victor Hugo said. Our independent trek allows you to walk around, and into the heart of it, in a flexible format. If you choose the 5-7 day format then you also walk through the neighbouring cirques of Estaubé and Troumouse, both different and wonderful in different ways. There is much to explore, whether you have 3 days or a full week.

GR10 High Central Pyrenees
The GR10 crosses the French Pyrenees between Hendaye on the Atlantic Ocean and Banyuls on the Mediterranean Sea. To make the full traverse seven or more weeks are required, but of course it is possible to split the walk into sections and walk just for a week or two on part of the trail. We offer two wonderful weeks of walking between the Val d'Azun, through the valleys around Cauterets, Gavarnie and Luz, and into the Néouvielle Nature Reserve. We have a few special additions deviating from the GR10 and they are well worth it.
"Sian's seven day Lavedan Valley trip is a joy! This tour has been carefully thought out and every detail considered. The lodging and meals (breakfast and dinner) along the route were top quality, the trail guide very thorough and, of course, the Pyrenean countryside was gorgeous. If you really want to get to know the Pyrenees, but do so with a decent level of creature comforts, I'd highly recommend this tour!"
